How to tell if an egg is bad without cracking the shell

Hands up if you like and eat eggs! Lol, I'm not even going to try guessing how many hands are hanging high right now, my own went up first though  . I particularly like how egg is a rich source of protein and very tasty but how do you know if it's still fresh given that you can't see the inside? Well, unless there's already a crack and a foul odour emanating from the egg which is an obvious sign that the egg is already bad, the answer is easy and I've got it here for you. First, fill a bowl with water and place your egg gently inside, if the egg rests flat on one side at the bottom of the bowl as shown in the image below, that shows you have a very fresh egg but if it stands only on one end, it means  it isn't fresh but safe to eat, a very bad egg will float in the water; this floating egg is the one you certainly do not want in your mouth. Now before you make that omelette or any other egg recipes, be sure to test your egg for freshness
