How to break down the gas causing compounds in beans

I like beans, do you? Yea, don't tell meee; It is common knowledge that Beans causes flatulence and as a result, people including those who checked Beans as favourite food get hesitant when a beans menu is mentioned. Good news is there's a way to get rid of the flatulence causing properties in beans and that is soaking. Yea, you read right. Soaking beans overnight before cooking breaks down the flatulence causing compounds in it and also gets your beans to cook faster. The larger your beans, the longer you should soak it making sure the water is well above the level of the beans.  Other than soaking beans overnight in cold water, you could soak by bringing the beans to a boil, then leaving it to stand for 6 hours or more before you drain, rinse  and cook. Remember the larger the beans, the longer soak time required.
For very small beans like the one in the image, I use a quick hot soak method by placing beans in a pot, adding water, bringing it to boil and letting it boil for an additional 20 minutes then I drain, rinse and cook. To soak beans, you need 5 cups of water for every 1 cup of beans. When cooking beans, never add salt or anything containing salt till your beans is perfectly tender; doing otherwise will  prevent your beans from getting tender. Adding onions to beans makes it cook faster. Now you can go ahead and enjoy your beans without worrying about gas. Just soak the beans using the hot or cold methods.
